The Hialeah Dodos got a sterling performance from pitcher Jesús Ríos, but the Ellenburg Fighting Dachshunds still prevailed, 3-2. Ríos threw 5.1 innings of shutout ball. Ellenburg reliever Ikaaka Iokia picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Jeff Vázquez absorbed the loss. Getting the save was Rick Dunlap, his 1st.

William Moore chipped in for Ellenburg, stroking a crucial run-scoring single in the bottom of the seventh inning. For the game, the pinch hitter was 1 for 1.
