GULF COAST TURBEAUS AT VIRGINIA BEACH WHALES

Late Magic Gets Gulf Coast 4-3 Win
The Gulf Coast Turbeaus picked up a win at Virginia Beach Grounds, taking down the Virginia Beach Whales, 4-3. Starting pitcher Jim Mack was a big reason why. Otis Luhgow earned save number 2 this season. Virginia Beach is 1-2 after the defeat.

Gulf Coast used the timely hitting of Kieron Mandala to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Turbeaus on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Virginia Beach skipper Marv Bradford.
