In a close game at The Bamboo Forest, the Sioux Falls Red Pandas edged the Athletic Club KC Reserves, 4-3. Sioux Falls designated hitter Mito Kawamura stood apart with his performance. He went 4 for 4 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs. Raúl Gómez got the win, improving to 4-0. He held the Reserves to 1 run on 5 hits over 6.2 innings, while striking out 7 and walking 0. The save was credited to Pierre-Jean Jung, his 1st.

Sioux Falls left fielder Sergio Rivera contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With two down, he hit a curveball into center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 6th hit of the season and put the Red Pandas ahead, 2-1.
