There was no shortage of dramatics at Brass Field.

The Baton Rouge Brass knocked off the Syracuse Starks, 8-4, at Brass Field. Jerry Cure was a big reason Baton Rouge won. The left fielder went 4 for 5 with a home run and 2 doubles, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2. Baton Rouge has now won 4 straight.

Harry Cox electrified the crowd in the bottom of the tenth when he took Syracuse pitcher Mike Park deep. His grand slam home run sent the Brass home winners.

In postgame comments, Cure said he was glad to contribute to an exciting win.
