Red Pandas Defeat Nobles, 4-3
|
The Sioux Falls Red Pandas weathered an outstanding game by Bakersfield left fielder Emílio Rey to topple the Nobles, 4-3. Rey was 3-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times. Vicente Medina picked up the win with 6.1 innings of work. He allowed 2 runs on 8 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 4. On the season, he is now 4-3. Sioux Falls now sits in 6th place in the Premier AAA at 18-21.
Having an impact for Sioux Falls was Eldon Broadus. In the top of the third inning, the 33-year old catcher had a run-scoring ground out to make the score 4-2, Red Pandas.
"Like I've always said, I'm the straw that stirs the drink," Broadus said (again).
