Juan Corona was superb against Sioux Falls. The right-hander, who is tied for 5th in the PAAA with a 1.04 WHIP, had a splitter that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Nobles victory. The score was 3-2. The save was credited to Armando Moreno, his 3rd. Bakersfield now sits at 22-16, while Sioux Falls falls to 17-21.
In the bottom of the fourth, with Bakersfield leading 1-0, second baseman Dídac Nores hit a run-scoring single. The hit came off Renault Daddi and put the Nobles ahead, 2-0.
"It was a good effort all around," said Nores.
