In a close game at Timber Hawks Ballpark, the Monongahela Monsters edged the Bakersfield Nobles, 4-3. Monongahela pinch hitter Aaron Ritter stood apart with his performance. He was 1-1 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The Monsters improve their record to 17-18 with the win over Bakersfield.

The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the ninth, with Monongahela trailing 3-2, Ritter hit a fastball from Armando Moreno for a 2-run home run, giving the Monsters the walk-off win.

"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Bakersfield skipper Jesús Román.
