Drummers Take Down Humpbacks, 5-0
|
Getting an impressive start from Colm Broomfield, Tortolita beat Alaskan by the score of 5-0. The Drummers saw their win-loss record go to 18-14. At the same time, the Humpbacks fell to 15-17.
Tortolita used a well-timed hit by Koryusai Ohayashi to capture the win. The left fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the Drummers ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.
"We believe in ourselves and we're willing to work hard. It's a good combination," Ohayashi told the Tortolita Times.
