Golden Cranes Need Extra Frames to Get Past Hot Chickens
|
The Santa Barbara Golden Cranes topped the Nashville Hot Chickens, 5-4, in 13 innings. Santa Barbara right fielder José Organito, in particular, was impressive. He hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Don Williams notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 3 innings. His record now sits at 1-0. The Golden Cranes now have a mark of 51-36.
Organito had a game-changing home run in the top of the 13th. On a 2-1 fastball from Valentín Jiménez, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Golden Cranes a 5-3 lead. It was the 15th home run of the year for Organito.
"Our team showed some resilience," said Organito.
