The Nashville Hot Chickens defeated the Port Huron Blitzkrieg, 9-4, at Hot Chickens Park. Nashville center fielder Jason Melton had a superb performance. He hit 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. After today's action, Nashville sits at 46-37, while Port Huron falls to 29-54.

Melton contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Nashville in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 3-2, Melton took a slider from Mike Thornton and stroked the home run to right-center. His 8th home run of the season allowed the Hot Chickens to leap in front, 4-3.
