Casper Beats Richland in Extra Innings
|
The Casper Ghosts put the giddy home crowd in an even more jubilant mood after beating the Richland Rails in the season opener at The Graveyard. Left Fielder Felipe Madrid won plaudits for Casper. He threw 6.0 innings of 2-hit ball. Brian Dalton, now 1-0, was credited with the win. He allowed no runs on 1 hit, while striking out 1 and walking 1.
The Ghosts relied on third baseman Kevin Swanson for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the tenth, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring double to seal the deal.
"This was one of those 'not to be denied' games," said Casper field general .
