Monsters Win at Syracuse, 2-0
|
Stark Stadium was the site of a competitive game between the Syracuse Starks and Monongahela Monsters.
The Monongahela Monsters topped the Syracuse Starks, 2-0, in USPL Triple A action at Stark Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Monongahela pitcher and Guyong, Philippines, native Bhu Pahayahay. Michael Galloway closed the door for Monongahela, picking up his 4th save of the year.
Phil Merrow, the 25-year old right fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Merrow contributed a 2-run single in the top of the first inning to put Monongahela up, 2-0.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Pahayahay told the Monongahela Daily.
Syracuse has now lost 4 in a row.
