Athletic Club KC right fielder Claudio Ynegas contributed to his team's 5-2 win over the Milton Dogfish Head. Ynegas, who is tied for 9th in the PAAA in runs scored with 14, went 2 for 3 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Reserves. Jamie Miller came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. His record now stands at 2-0. Athletic Club KC currently is in 9th place in the Premier AAA at 10-14.
The outcome might have been different for Athletic Club KC, had it not been for Sherwin Tacod, the 32-year old first baseman . Tacod stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put Athletic Club KC up, 3-2. For the game, he was 3 for 4, including 1 double and 2 singles.
"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Ynegas told a Athletic Club KC Gazette reporter. "Sometimes we just need to relax."
