Pearce K's 11 En Route to 2-1 Blitzkrieg Win
|
The Port Huron Blitzkrieg topped the Nashville Hot Chickens, 2-1, in M3L Triple A action at Port Huron Park. The standout performance belonged to Port Huron pitcher and Duluth, Minnesota, native Ed Pearce. Vicente Arroyo notched his 14th save in 18 chances. The Blitzkrieg sport a record of 29-53.
Pearce was effective against the Hot Chickens, seldom allowing a hard-hit ball. The right-hander limited Nashville to just 1 run on 1 hit over 8 innings.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Pearce said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
