Calgary Lynx starter Chris Williams was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Sioux Falls Red Pandas, 5-4. Williams went 5.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 3, and struck out 5. His record improves to 1-0. The 9th-place Red Pandas have dropped 4 straight games.

The Red Pandas had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Lynx going into the bottom of the third inning. That changed quickly when the 26-year old third baseman Pedro Palgon came to the plate. Palgon hit a 2-run double on a 1-2 cutter from Sioux Falls hurler Vicente Medina. It was Palgon's 3rd double of the year.
