Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Disaster
|
Port Royal rode a good effort from starter Andrew MacEwen to beat the Santa Barbara Golden Cranes at Crane Field. The final score was 4-2. José Pérez recorded his 12th save for Port Royal. Port Royal raised its record to 41-35 with the win.
Port Royal used a timely hit from George Samuels to get the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Disaster ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.
"It was a good effort all around," said MacEwen.
