Voodoo Sneak Past Cattlemen, 4-3
|
The New Orleans Voodoo wiggled past the Ft. Worth Cattlemen, 4-3, at The Cattle Pen. The win was highlighted by the performance of New Orleans pitcher Anthony Coleman. Herman Stone got credit for the win, improving to 1-1. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. After today's action, New Orleans sits at 22-15, while Ft. Worth falls to 19-18.
New Orleans used the timely hitting of Robert Rodríguez to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 15th inning to put the Voodoo on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"The game of baseball will test you," said Chase Sims, the New Orleans skipper. "This one tested us."
