Port Royal Gets 1-0 Win
|
Port Royal picked up a win at Hot Chickens Park, toppling the Nashville Hot Chickens, 1-0. Pitcher Andrew MacEwen was one of the reasons the Disaster triumphed. MacEwen picked up the win for Port Royal, going 6 innings. He gave up no runs on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 4-3. Earning his 7th save for Port Royal was José Pérez.
Tom Hancock had a timely hit in the top of the sixth inning. With two out and a runner on 2nd, the Port Royal first baseman hit a run-scoring single. That put the Disaster in front, 1-0.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said MacEwen.
Port Royal now sits at 31-30, while Nashville falls to 32-29.
