Crane Propels Alaskan to 3-0 Win
|
Right-hander George Crane mesmerized the Monongahela Monsters while leading the Alaskan Humpbacks to a 3-0 victory. Tim Chuter closed the door for Alaskan, picking up his 1st save of the year. Alaskan is now 6-8.
Crane, a native of Augusta, Georgia, was dealing all game. He kept Monongahela hitters off-balance, while giving the Humpbacks 7 quality innings. Crane threw 107 pitches, allowing 3 hits and striking out 6.
Crane said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
