The Tortolita Drummers got a stellar performance from pitcher Sixto Bustamante, who handcuffed the Syracuse offense en route to a win, 5-1, at Stark Stadium. Michael Pace picked up the save for Tortolita, his 6th of the year. With the win, Tortolita elevates its record to 9-4.
Dan Harris, not known for his power, had a big at-bat with no one out in the top of the sixth. That's when he connected on a curveball from Danny Antonio for a solo home run. His 1st home run of the season put Tortolita in front, 2-1.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Tortolita manager Marcos Costa. "It's usually not just one thing."
