The Port Huron Blitzkrieg got a sterling performance from pitcher Ronnie Vis, but the Port Royal Disaster still prevailed, 3-2. Vis threw 6.1 innings of 2-hit ball. The 4th-place Disaster improved to 23-20.
The Disaster procured the win, in large part because of designated hitter George Hudson. In the bottom of the ninth, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Port Huron manager Jack Alexander said following the tough loss.
