Buzz Suffer 12-1 Drubbing
|
The Austin Black Mambas topped the Salt Lake City Buzz by the score of 12-1, with the largest share of the credit going to first baseman Dai-lin Yen. Yen was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while scoring 3 and driving in 3 for the Black Mambas. Curt Stokes got the win, improving to 2-1. He pitched 7.1 innings, giving up 5 hits and 1 run, while striking out 7 and walking 4. Austin, now 20-22, holds down 7th place in the Menard's AAA.
The game turned with no one out in the bottom of the fourth when Yen hit a 2-run home run. It propelled the Black Mambas into the lead, 3-1.
"We took it on the chin today," said losing manager Jay Smith.
