The Calgary Lynx topped the Tortolita Drummers, 7-2, in USPL Triple A action at Drummers Ballpark. The game was highlighted by the performance of Calgary pitcher Salvador López. Tortolita falls to 4-2.
Sumitomo Shimizu came through for Calgary when he hit a 2-run single in the top of the fourth. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, he hit a two-strike slider to right field, staking his team to a 2-0 lead.
"It's easier to pitch when you get run support," said López.
