The winning streak continued for Syracuse.

The Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys topped the Santa Barbara Golden Cranes, 8-1, in M3L Triple A action at The Zoo in Syracuse. The standout performance belonged to Syracuse pitcher and Oranjestad, Aruba, native Gabel Ambrosius. With their winning streak at 8, the Squirrel Monkeys have raced to a strong start this season.

Colton Pennington hit a 3-run home run off Dudley Malone in the bottom of the third, which put the Squirrel Monkeys ahead, 3-1. In addition to the homer, Pennington had 1 double, while going 2 for 4.

"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Squirrel Monkeys manager Scott Garrison, "I like our chances."
