People outside the ballpark no doubt heard the roar of the crowd as the winning run crossed the plate.
The Port Royal Disaster got a superb performance from pitcher Jeremiah Cole. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Port Huron. The Blitzkrieg won the game, 4-2. Cole threw 8.0 innings of 4-hit ball. The Blitzkrieg, with just their 4th win in 14 games, have played uninspired baseball so far.
The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the ninth, with Port Huron trailing 2-1, Don Callahan hit a sinker from Robert Brewer for a 3-run home run, giving the Blitzkrieg the walk-off win.
Callahan described the clubhouse as "kind of rowdy" after the game.
