In a low-scoring affair between the Salt Lake City Buzz and the Pawnee ParksNRec, pitcher Arthur Corrigan was the difference between victory and defeat. The Salt Lake City left-hander earned accolades in the 2-1 Buzz win. Iwan Vroom earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2 innings. He upped his record to 2-0. Dave Davis earned save number 2 this season.
Kevin Sanders took Mason Hatcher deep in the bottom of the eighth. His solo home run put the Buzz on top, 2-1. In all, Sanders had 2 singles in addition to the home run, while going 3 for 4.
"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said Corrigan.
With the win, Salt Lake City lifts its record to 4-0.
