Golden Cranes Absorb 5-2 Loss at Ballpark of Port Royal
The Port Royal Disaster started the 2054 season win an impressive 5-2 win against the Santa Barbara Golden Cranes at Ballpark of Port Royal. Jeremiah Cole led the way for Port Royal. Cole went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 2, and struck out 4. His record improves to 1-0.

The Disaster got a big at-bat from left fielder Ángel Torrez. For the game, Torrez went 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Port Royal a 3-0 lead.

"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Port Royal manager Mike Nyberg. "It's usually not just one thing."
