The Detroit Elite topped the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids, 6-1, in Menard's Third League action at Detroit Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Detroit pitcher Joe Allen. The Elite improved to a lofty 21-7.

Allen allowed 1 run on 4 hits over 7.2 innings for the Elite. He walked 2 and struck out 11.

Allen told a Detroit Gazette reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
