SMSL Announces Best Player Award
Thursday, September 18th , 2053
He may have less experience than most of his USSL Mexican Summer League peers, but that didn't slow Talley Eveline down at all in 2053.

At the age of 19, the MSL Colorado right fielder has been named the winner of the USSL Mexican Summer League Most Valuable Player Award.

He had a .343 batting average and a .412 on-base percentage this year. In 36 games he piled up 48 hits, 6 doubles, no triples, 10 home runs, 27 RBIs and 21 runs scored.

"I'm blown away by the season I was able to put together," he said. "I'm looking forward to trying to do it all again next year."

He received 8 first place votes out of a possible 10. Daniel Webster of the MSL Toledo Stingers finished second in voting with 2 first place votes, while Shan-tang Zhou of the MSL Hollywood Shredders finished third.
