SMSL Announces Best Pitcher for August Monday, September 1st , 2053 A 2-0 record with a 2.08 ERA is a good month for most any pitcher. The USSL Mexican Summer League thought it was worthy of an award and named Francisco Canó, starter for the MSL Toledo Stingers, August's Pitcher of the Month. He also held the opposition to a .188 average while posting 21 strikeouts in 21.2 innings. So far in 15 appearances this season, Canó has recorded 7 wins and sustained 3 losses. He has pitched 104 innings, yielded 78 hits, fanned 110 and has a 2.68 ERA. |
