SMSL Honors MSL Long Island Center Fielder Monday, July 21st , 2053 The hottest bat of the week belonged to MSL Long Island center fielder Shane Tate. He went on a rampage last week against SMSL hurlers and rapped out 9 hits in 14 at-bats for a .643 average while hitting 1 home run, driving in 3 runs and scoring 3 runs -- numbers quite worthy of the USSL Mexican Summer League Player of the Week trophy. Tate was honored today at a press conference. So far this season, Tate has recorded a .366 batting average with 48 hits, 4 home runs, 15 RBIs, 18 runs scored and a .425 OBP. |
