SMSL's #1 Player, Gibbs of MSL Seattle Monday, July 22nd , 2052 When Elmer Gibbs stepped into the batter's box, he meant business. His outstanding play this week has netted the MSL Seattle shortstop the well-deserved USSL Mexican Summer League Player of the Week Award. Playing in 3 games he lashed out a .500 average with 6 hits, 3 home runs, 6 RBIs and 3 runs scored. This year Gibbs has socked 23 hits in 106 at-bats for a .217 average with 4 home runs.
