Webster Pounds 3 HR Against Bullets Thursday, June 19th , 2053 Daniel Webster went on an explosive hitting spree against the MSL Baltimore Bullets at MSL Baltimore Ballpark today, launching a trio of blasts to lead the MSL Toledo Stingers to the 4-1 win. The third baseman finished 4-for-5 with 3 runs scored and 4 RBI. "It was just one of those days," Webster said in a postgame interview. "I don't know how to explain it. I'm just putting a good swing on the ball." MSL Baltimore skipper John Moore said Webster was "locked-in." "We made some pretty good pitches," he said. "Those first two homers were exactly where the pitcher wanted to put them. He's just hot right now -- you've just got to tip your hat to him." Daniel Webster hit a solo-shot off Gustavo Rivera in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Gustavo Rivera in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Roberto López in the 9th. Webster on the season is batting .308 with 5 home runs. His totals include 18 RBIs and 15 runs scored. He has played in 21 games. |
