Lakerveld and Sandoval Suspended for Free-for-All Sunday, June 8th , 2053 If there wasn't a history between David Lakerveld of MSL Hollywood and Carlos Sandoval of MSL Long Island, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 3 and 6 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today. "We're both really competitive," Lakerveld said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it." So far this season, Lakerveld has recorded a .295 batting average with 18 hits, 3 home runs, 9 RBIs, 11 runs scored and a .386 OBP. Sandoval has made 1 starts so far this year and put up a 2-2 won-lost record with a 4.00 ERA. In 9 innings he has allowed 11 hits, walked 3 and struck out 10. |
