Best PMSL Hurler Chosen for 2053 Wednesday, September 17th , 2053 Gérard Varin of the MSL Boston Patriots had a tremendous season and was chosen the Pitcher of the Year Award winner in the USPL Mexican Summer League. He crafted a standout 7-2 mark in 10 starts, striking out 86, while walking 12. He worked 85.1 innings, yielded 49 hits and posted a 1.16 ERA. Opposing clubs had a .162 average against him. He received 10 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Cordell Dawson of the MSL Boston Patriots finished second in voting, while George Ramos of the MSL Greenville 84s finished third.
