USPL Mexican Summer League's Best Batter Announced Monday, August 4th , 2053 The premier performer in the USPL Mexican Summer League this week was Luis Oliveira of the MSL Pittsburgh Kingfishers. The hot-hitting 18-year-old third baseman put up a .700 average and .727 on-base percentage, piling up 7 hits in 10 at-bats, 1 home run, 2 RBIs and 1 run scored. That kind of hitting got him the PMSL Player of the Week honors. This year Oliveira is hitting .294 with 5 home runs and 15 RBIs in 30 games played. He also boasts an OBP of .368 with 13 walks and 10 runs scored. |
