Allen Spins No-Hitter Against Capital Hill Saturday, June 21st , 2053 In a dominant outing, Rickey Allen of the Surprise Shockers totally silenced the bats of the Capital Hill Interns, finishing with a no-hitter. In the Shockers' 5-0 victory, Allen faced only 32 batters, surrendered no hits, had 11 strikeouts and 4 walks. "Honestly, I didn't even know the situation was what it was until the seventh inning," Surprise manager Júlio González said. "I happened to look up there to see how many hits we had gotten, and I happened to notice that they hadn't gotten any." Commenting on the defeat, losing manager Vincent Parker had a "pretty simple" analysis of the game. "The Shockers had all the hits and all the runs, so they won," he snapped.
