Doctors in Moose Jaw said José Márquez might not play anymore this year. The Canucks reliever suffered shoulder inflammation during a game against the Napanee Express and will be out for at least 7 months. Club officials told BNN they do not expect him to return to the team this season.
Taking a look at his season stats for 2053, Márquez has made 13 relief appearances, recorded 2 saves and compiled a 3-1 won-lost mark with a 3.05 ERA. In pitching 20.2 innings, he has totaled 20 strikeouts and 8 walks.
