Barrage of Hits Gets Meng SA- Award Monday, August 25th , 2053 Zhen-bang Meng has been in a real groove lately. The 20-year-old Memphis Music shortstop nabbed USSL Low A Player of the Week honors today after beating up on opposing pitchers all last week. Meng's hot streak featured 9 hits in 23 at-bats, 4 home runs, 8 RBIs, 6 runs scored and a .391 average. Meng is hitting .298 this year with 11 home runs, 38 RBIs and 35 runs scored. He has 62 hits in 208 at-bats, 29 walks and a .390 on-base percentage. Meng has played in 71 games. |
