Beavers Payne Dominates Rhinos Monday, August 18th , 2053 The bats were ice cold today for the Redwood Rhinos at The Zoo. Northwest Territory Beavers starter Anthony Payne kept the Rhinos cold all day, shutting them out in a 5-0 victory. In a fine outing, the 21-year-old hurler allowed 5 hits while striking out 11 and walking 0. "I'm not quite sure what was different today," Payne admitted later. "I didn't feel like I was doing anything differently, but the results speak for themselves." On the year Payne has worked 120.2 innings with 146 strikeouts en route to a 9-3 record and 1.86 ERA.
