Becerra Will Sit Out 3 Games, Suspended by League Saturday, August 9th , 2053 Pancho Becerra of the Bethlehem Angel Kitties has been reprimanded and given a 3-game suspension for a shouting match with the plate umpire during a recent game at The Beaver Dam with the Ballard Beavers. The Angel Kitties catcher said he didn't touch the umpire, but the umpire insisted he did. "I didn't see it, I didn't feel it," Becerra said. "I was trying everything I could not to make contact with him. The league always sides with umpires. There is no use to appeal." For the season Becerra is currently batting .167 with 9 home runs and 27 RBIs. In 67 games he has reached base at a .238 rate and scored 16 runs to date. |
