Today the Amarillo Warheads first baseman gobbled up the league's latest Player of the Week Award. Mata swung the bat with purpose all week as he collected a .692 average, 9 hits in 13 at-bats, 2 home runs, 5 RBIs and 4 runs scored. This season Mata is batting at a .277 clip with 8 home runs and 33 RBIs. |
