Neame Crashes 3 HR Against Billings
Tuesday, September 16th , 2053
Every now and then, everything just comes together.
Brian Neame discovered that today at The Igloo, as he smashed three home runs during the 13-0 Mercer Island Screaming Eagles win over the Billings Polar Bears.
"I got three balls to hit and nailed all three of them," the Mercer Island first baseman said in his postgame interview. "The first was a hanging curve, the second was right down the middle and the last one was a good pitch, but I guessed right and put the wood to it."
Neame finished the day with 3 hits in 4 at-bats and 5 RBIs.
Brian Neame flied out in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Ramón Gómez in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Jack Autry in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Jack Autry in the 8th and walked in the 9th.
Neame has collected 63 hits for the Screaming Eagles this year, 20 of them home runs. He has also netted 41 RBIs and scored 53 runs while batting .234.
