He's in the early phase of his career, but this past season Jack Peters performed like a veteran on the hill for the Providence Pilgrims and walked away with the USSL Double A Outstanding Pitcher Award in the process.

The 22-year-old Pilgrims star fashioned a 13-3 won-loss record in 2053 with a 2.56 ERA. In 151 innings of work and 21 starts, Peters struck out 127 while giving up 124 hits and 48 walks. He held opposing batters to a .224 average.

He received 9 first place votes out of a possible 10. Kris Collins of the Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas finished second in voting, while Brent Richardson of the Pine Island Dolphins finished third with 1 first place vote.
