Peters Shuts Down Loons, 7-0 Monday, September 1st , 2053 Providence's Jack Peters brought his best stuff to Loony Bin today, shutting down and shutting out the Minnesota Loons 7-0. He racked up 3 strikeouts, surrendered 6 hits and issued no walks on his way to the victory. "We barely made him work at all," Minnesota manager Eddie O'Bryan said later. "Providence could probably pitch him again tomorrow if they wanted." Up to now Peters has compiled an ERA of 2.54 with a 11-3 mark over 19 starts.
