Bad Boy Brawlers Suspended 2 Games
Saturday, July 19th , 2053
Baseball confrontations occasionally get intense and sometimes that tension becomes too much and boils over into more than just words. This time it happened to Olympia's Seitaro Ogawa and Marquette's Ricardo Aguirre. The two were the main participants in a fight that cleared the benches. Today both were suspended by the league for 2 games for their aggressive actions.
"I hope things settle down now," the manager of the Miners said later. "There's no reason for us to be locked in a cycle of revenge. We all need to focus on baseball instead."
So far this season Ogawa has hit .289 with 4 home runs, 17 RBIs and scored 26 times.
For the season his stats show Aguirre has no saves in 27 relief appearances with a 1-4 record and 6.45 ERA.
