June's Best Hurler in SAA is Contreras Tuesday, July 1st , 2053 In June Pine Island starter Alfredo Contreras mystified USSL Double A hitters and carried off the Pitcher of the Month honors by chalking up a 4-0 record in 5 starts. The 22-year-old Contreras added 28 strikeouts in 36.1 innings and 11 walks to his season record and compiled a 1.49 ERA. Opposing batters hit .195 against him. On his stats sheet this season Contreras shows a 4-3 record, 10 starts, 63.1 innings, 45 strikeouts and a 3.69 ERA. |
