MotorBoaters Pitching Ravaged by Anderson
Sunday, July 13th , 2053
Jon Anderson knows as well as anyone that in baseball, the biggest contracts go to the biggest hitters. At Heron Field today, he made his case to be considered among that group.

The 25-year-old shortstop hammered 5 hits in 5 chances, though the remarkable effort came even as his Barton Springs Blues fell, 13-11, to the Lake Murray MotorBoaters.

"We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," MotorBoaters manager William Smith told BNN sportswriters after the game. "Thankfully, we were able to do enough elsewhere that Anderson wasn't the difference."

Jon Anderson hit a three-run home run off Daniel Wyles in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.

So far this year Anderson has 7 home runs and a .269 batting average.
