League Suspends Sixshooters Yamamoto 3 Games
Sunday, June 22nd , 2053
Westwood Sixshooters third baseman Mitsuhide Yamamoto was suspended 3 games by the league commissioner today, a day after arguing his ejection during a game against the Lancaster Farmers.
"I think the 3 games are a little harsh," Yamamoto said.
He was ejected by plate umpire for arguing balls and strikes.
After his ejection, Yamamoto went into the dugout, then came back on the field, argued with the umpire and had to be restrained by coaches and teammates. The suspension was issued for "unbecoming conduct and returning to the field of play after being dismissed."
Thus far this season Yamamoto is hitting .233 with 1 home run, 6 RBIs and 5 runs scored. He has 14 hits in 60 at-bats and has played in 23 games.
