Rowdy Players Suspended by League Saturday, May 17th , 2053 After an intense confrontation, both the Lynx Steven Forrest and the Pride Rodger Asmus were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Calgary-Hartford game. Steven Forrest will miss 4 games, while Rodger Asmus was suspended for 9 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Steven Forrest commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." Thus far this season Forrest is hitting .314 with 1 home run, 10 RBIs and 8 runs scored. He has 16 hits in 51 at-bats and has played in 13 games. |
